This is a workaround for the relaxed cuts, so it should go together with them. Please don't apply it always, it increases memory consumption a lot (much more than the 20% one would naively think, since it is applied from intput to output buffer size estimations, which happen a few times in a row, so it has more like a cubic effect on memory.
